Underground

I love my apartment building underground parking. We have 3 underground levels. The first and second levels are the ones mostly used by the tenants. The third underground level is used mainly just by me. For one reason or another, none of the tenants park down there. Half the floor though was turned into storage spaces awhile back. I guess the building owners figured if no one was parking down there anyway why not make some money from it. I am just glad they left the other half as parking space.

New Camera

Yesterday evening I got a new camera. I figured since I was gonna be doing a lot of photography because of this project it would be a good investment to go out and get a new camera. I got a Nikon D70 to replace my aging Sony F717. I didn't have a chance to play with it yesterday night so I brought it with me to the office. This picture was the first picture I took with my camera today. Its of nothing special, I was just testing out the camera here.

Under Construction

There is a lot of construction going on in my area. It seems where-ever I go there is some kind of construction going on. Kuwait gets really hot in the summer so most of the major road construction goes on in the cooler days. Since the weather has cooled down recently all these construction sites have started to appear everywhere.

Domino's

Me and my wife currently work in the same advertising agency. For lunch we usually go out to the nearest mall and have something to eat. Eating daily at the same food court does make things boring. Trust me, no matter how much you like chinese food, once you have it for 8 days in a row (my record) you kind of get sick of it. Today we had pizza from the Domino's place in the food court.. I like pizza but for some reason I don't have it that often. I think its because I don't find it as exciting as Chinese or Indian food.

Fish Market

Passed by a fish market today. I personally don't like to eat fish or even swim in the water if any fish are around. I do like the fish market though. Its always loud, crowded and full of interesting characters.

Junkyard Wars

There was a junkyard I found one day while biking. I briefly went in it and the place turned out to be interesting. So today I decided to go back again but this time with my camera. The place is full of interesting textures and typography. The junkyard is full of old cars, containers and old military surplus. I didn't know such a place existed so near my home.

The Nacho Incident

Today morning I walked into our office building and found this nachos machine sitting there in-front of me. Its not the first time I see it there all alone. I am starting to think someone in the building must be playing some kind of prank or something.

Under The Web

Slow day today, not much to take pictures of. The weather outside is total crap since there is like a huge dust storm going on. This picture is the roof of this mall I go to during my lunch break called Marina Mall. I was sitting in the food court when I took this picture. I like the roof since it brings in a lot of natural light into the place creating this nice peaceful environment.

Changing Jobs

Today I passed by the TMI/JWT advertising agency. I spoke to them around a weak ago about joining their team and today I was supposed to get an idea of what my package would be. Turned out to be good and so will be joining them in around a months time.

Kindu Chicken

If only I was born in China. I love Chinese food, I mean who doesn't? I have the same combo at this Chinese place during my lunch break around 3 or 4 times a weak. My combo consists of fried rice, kindu chicken and sweat & sour chicken. Plus a coke of-course. I don't think I will ever get bored of this meal. I hope I never get bored of this meal actually.

Tiny Fucking Scratches

Today when I was getting my tripod out of the trunk I noticed these tiny fucking scratches. Turns out my cheap and poorly built bike rack has been slowly slowly scraping the paint off my car. I am really fucking pissed!

This Shepherd

I went biking today with the Desert Biking Club of Kuwait. A pretty nice group of people who get together every Friday to go biking together. Problem is the bike rides always start early in the morning, 8AM to be exact. Friday in Kuwait is everyones day off, so to wake up at 7AM for an 8AM start on my day off is not something I enjoy doing. But I did get up today and I did go biking, then one hour into the ride I get a flat and had to get back to my car since I did not have a spare tube. Thats when I spotted this shepherd who was standing next to our cars. I spoke to him in English and asked him if I could take his picture. He didn't understand of-course but after I pointed to my camera then to him a couple of times he got the idea and struck this pose for me.

Dj Danger Mouse

I don't know why it took me so long to download this album. Its a great CD with a great concept. DJ Danger Mouse took the old Beatles' album "The White Album", and then took Jay-Z's "The Black Album", mixed them up and created his own "The Grey Album".

13.1 Paper Jam

Today our black and white laser printer at work got a paper jam. Not a big issue usually but our printer is located in this cabinet and the only way to clear a paper jam is to open the back of the printer, which isn't accessible because its located in the cabinet. Its a real pain to clear a simple fucking paper jam so today we me and the second designer at work had enough and decided to move the printer onto an empty shelf. Yeah its not as tidy as before but fuck it who cares.

Red Bull

A Red Bull truck was parked behind my car today when I was going to have lunch. I don't really like the drink but I really like the blue, red and yellow color combination. Blue is my favorite color. My car is blue and around 90% of my tshirts are blue.

Bear Factory

Today me and my "wife" went and did some shopping. Her sister is leaving back to Lebanon tomorrow and she needed to get her other younger sister a gift. She settled on a doll from the Bear Factory. I swear we spent maybe an hour or more trying to find the perfect doll, the perfect clothing for it and to record a voice message to embed into the doll. THEN we had to find a name! We finally went with a sheep wearing an orange tshirt and blue jeans.

I got married

I finally did it, I went and got married. Tonight I got married to my long time girlfriend in a small ceremony here in Kuwait. This picture was taken right after the wedding, I was in my best friends car and my brother using my cam was trying to take a picture ofme.
