Island Parking
I passed by Souk Sharq tonight and it was really packed. Turned out Debenhams had a 2 day sale and today was the last day so there was a huge rush of people trying to take advantage before it was over. Parking was a bitch as usual. I think Souk Sharq has the worst parking. With Marina Mall if the parking fills up you could always find a place around Marina Mall where you could park your car. Because Souk Sharq is basically an island, if you can't find parking on the island you can't park anywhere around it. Luckily we were able to find a parking spot next to the fish market but only after like 20 minutes of driving around in circles.

Isn't it sad that 99% of your posts and pictures are about shopping and consumerism and not really about art & originality? Is it Kuwait that's doing this to creativity?
Nope, Mark is naturally not creative.
On a more serious note, If you worked 8+ hours a day in a advertising firm. And you have been taking a picture a day for the past 300 days .. would you have anything left in you?
However, I think the posts show a lighter side to Kuwait with interesting pictures.
yeah but the thing is also that i never said I would take picture related to art and originality.
the creativity part comes in when you spend everyday doing the same thing, the same routine yet still manage to find something new to shoot everyday.
Also keep in mind Saf I have to cater to a variety of people. People in Kuwait usually like to find out new things about Kuwait they didn't know of. People abroad like to see Kuwait, like the Kuwait Towers, souks etc... And finally me I like to take abstract moody shots. So I have to keep mixing between these 3.
If you check older posts though from when I first started the project you will find shots that are a different style to the current ones. And once the weather gets cooler the shots should change again.
Personally though I am glad I have like only a month and a half left. I think I will stop shooting anything for like a year after this project is done :)
